Our support team plays a crucial role in ensuring each client’s success by delivering exceptional service and support across various areas of our operations. We offer a positive environment, with a culture that recognizes the strength in everyone’s individual life experiences. You’ll have opportunities to deepen your expertise, take on greater challenges, and move into new roles. Ultimately, you’ll take pride in knowing that the work you are doing every day has a significant impact.

Admissions Advisors
The decision to apply for our services can be a big step and our admissions team is always here to help. Throughout the guide dog application process, we learn more about potential clients while helping them understand their responsibilities in preparing for class training, as well as handling and caring for a guide dog. This is a service-oriented and professional role that you will find enjoyable and rewarding.

Cooks
Cooks support our clients and programs by cooking delicious, nutritious meals. You’ll work in a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen to create top quality meals, as well as food that meets clients’ individual health needs and preferences. All cooks have input into menu planning and are encouraged to make suggestions. Our kitchen, even when busy, offers a relaxed and calm vibe where everyone works together to achieve our goals.

Housekeepers
If you enjoy keeping everything sparkling clean and like working in a highly professional environment, this is a great opportunity. Housekeepers ensure that our residence rooms are clean and well-stocked, so our clients feel welcome and well cared for while staying with us. You’ll value the interactions with our clients and take pride in the satisfaction of keeping the residence building well maintained. Duties include cleaning rooms and common areas by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting sinks and bathrooms. You may also be asked to assist in the kitchen when necessary.

Facilities Professionals
Our campuses offer diverse indoor and outdoor spaces, with a combined 25 acres and nearly 300,000 square feet of buildings. We offer a challenging variety of projects in offices, kennels, veterinary clinics, residential buildings, commercial kitchens, and a water treatment plant, each with its own plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Our small team works together to research new approaches. You’ll work a consistent 40-hour, M-F schedule, with on-call rotation in case of emergencies. We provide opportunities for specialized training and a career path that can lead to manager roles.

Registered Nurses
In this role, you’ll provide care for our clients who are blind or visually impaired while they are staying on our campuses for training in our various programs. We look for experienced, professional RNs who are critical thinkers with the ability to handle the unique and unforeseen medical, emotional, and social needs that may arise with our clients during their time with us. You’ll enjoy regular hours (no overnight or 12-hour shifts) and continuing education opportunities as you work with our great community of people and make an impact on the health and comfort of our clients.

Residential Advisors
Resident advisors work to create a safe and comfortable environment on our campuses so that our clients can focus on their training. You’ll orient clients to the residence building when they first arrive and assist our guide dog clients with basic dog care and handling. You may also get involved in assisting with educational workshops, joining training teams on class outings, or providing foundational training to enrich the experience of our clients while they spend time with us. Our resident advisors work some overnight shifts and help our clients if any issues arise.
