- Do Your Business – cue to relieve (both urination and defecation)
- Let’s Go – walk together on you lefthand side

- Down
- Wait – stay still briefly; to be followed by release “OK” or another cue (typically used at doorways, in and out of vehicles etc.)
- OK – release cue
- [Name] Come – come toward handler close enough to be touched
- Go to Bed (optional) – go to a designated bed or mat and lie down
These verbal cues are the only verbal cues our guide dog puppies need to learn during their time in Puppy Raising. Does the list seem short? It should be! We want to prioritize nurturing puppies' confidence, resilience, and ability to take the world in stride – which develop as habits instead of verbally cued behaviors.
